Description

Chia seeds are tiny edible seeds that grows abundantly in southern Mexico. In pre-Columbian times chia seeds were a main component of the Aztec and Mayan diets and were the basic survival ration of Aztec warriors. The Aztecs also used chia medicinally and therapeutically, often to increase energy and endurance. Chia seeds are a great source of protein, fiber and healthy fats.
