Sacha Inchi, otherwise known as "Mountain Peanut,"is endemic to the rainforest of Peru, where it has been cultivated by indigenous people for centuries. The seeds of this plant are gaining recognition for their many health benefits. While unpalatable raw, once roasted they are quite delicious and nutty, without the allergenic concerns of nuts.
