Sunflower Oil

Description

Sunflower oil originated in North America and was originally harvested by hunter gatherer societies as a natural source of fat. The seeds were used to make breads and later used for oil extraction. The oil is a monounsaturated and polyunsaturated mixture that is low in saturated fat and is high in essential fatty acids, especially Omega-6. It has a high heat tolerance, which makes it a great cooking oil.
